SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.78 inches in Bago, 3.46 inches in Thaton, 2.95 inches in Labutta, 2.88 inches in Pathein, 2.68 inches in Hlegu, 2.43 inches in Myaungmya, 2.37 inches in Maubin, 2.20 inches in Mudon, 2.18 inches in Hmawbi and 2.12 inches in Kangyidaunt.

BAY INFERENCEMonsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd July 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scatterd in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYSLikelihood of increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
