BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Westcentral Bay of  Bengal and a few cloud to  partly cloudy  over the Andaman Sea and  elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 18thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scatterd in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Chin State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin,  Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Northen Shan States.
