BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the North Odisha and adjoining Jaarkhand and West Bengal, India weakened into a Low Pressure Area. It is likely to weaken gradually during next 24 hrs. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scatterd in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Northen Shan States.
