BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha -West Bengal Coasts, India has moved Northwestwards and has been crossing North Odisha and adjoining Jaarkhand and West Bengal, India. It is likely to continue moving Northwestwards and cross the interior parts of India and gradually weakening. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloudy over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 17thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scatterd in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States.
