SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.94 inches in Dawei, 3.86 inches in Pathein, 3.70 inches in Coco Island, 2.95 inches in Ngathaichaung, 2.92 inches in Kangyidaunt, 2.88 inches in Ye, 2.69 inches in Zalun, 2.64 inches in Hsipaw, 2.56 inches in Thabaung and 2.08 inches in Okpho.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, off North Odisha -West Bengal Coasts, India still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may cross over North Odisha -West Bengal, India during next 48 hrs. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of strong monsoon.
