SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Magway, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.61 inches in Dedaye, 5.83 inches in Phyarpon, 5.62 inches in Wakema, 5.31 inches in Myaungmya, 5.28 inches in Thabaung, 5.08 inches in Kyeikkhame, 5.04 inches in Chaungsone, 4.76 inches in Pathein, 4.45 inches in Mawlamyinegyun and 4.37 inches in Mudon.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood regionally heavyfalls in Mon, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Mon, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experiencedoff and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 10-13 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
