SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon Region and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 12.34 inches in Kyaukpyu, 7.48 inches in Ye, 7.45 inches in Manaung, 6.94 inces in Paung, 6.18 inches in Kawkareik, 5.87 inches in Dawei, 5.83 inches in Mawlamyine, 5.75 inches in Bogale, 5.71 inches in Bago and 5.51 inches in Hpa-an.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Shan State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
