SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Magway Region and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.46 inches in Kawkareik, 5.24 inches in Kyaukpyu, 4.14 inches in Hkamti, 3.75 inces in Paing Kyone, 3.11 inches in Sittwe, 2.64 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 2.44 inches in Pinlaung, 2.22 inches in Kyar-In-Seikkyi, 2.00 inches in Hlaingbwe (Shwegun) and 1.97 inches in Taunggu.

BAY INFERENCEMonsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
