SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Eastern Shan States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.22 inches in Mudon, 4.81 inces in Shwekyin, 4.45 inches in Kawkareik, 4.20 inches each in Madauk and Paung, 3.50 inches in Nyaunglaybin, 3.42 inches in Kyeikmayaw, 3.31 inches in Hkamti, 3.11 inches in Mawlamyine, 3.04 inches in Mong Khat and 3.00 inches in Hlaingbwe(Shwegun).
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States.
