SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Chin States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.83 inches in Hkamti, 3.47 inches in Putao, 2.56 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), 2.30 inches in Hlaingbwe(Shwegwin), 2.09 inches in Lewe, 1.97 inches in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri), 1.93 inches in Sittwe, 1.89 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 1.54 inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi) and 1.50 inches each in Myitkyina and Ela.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
