BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha-West Bengal Coast (India) has moved West-Northwestwards and crossed North Odisha close to the Balasore. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may cross interior regions of India.  Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is ‌a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 6thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of  isolated heavyfalls in Yangon,  Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Magway,   Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin,Chin,   Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Frequent squalls with rough to very rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 11-14 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
