BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha-West Bengal Coast (India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and into the North Odisha and may reach North Chhattisgarh (India) during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, Severe Tropical Strom “MAYSAK” over the Gulf of Tonkin moved North-Northeastwards and crossed over the Northern Coastal areas of Vietnam and the Southern Coastal areas of China. It is likely continue to move North-Northeastwards and may continually cross over the Guangxi region of Chin then of Chin then gradually weaken during next 6 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Frequent squalls with rough to very rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 11-14 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
