BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha-West Bengal Coast still persists. It is likely to become more marked. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Strom “MAYSAK” over the South China Sea yesterday moved North-Northwestwards and crossed over Hainan Island, China and then reachedover the gulf of Tonkin. It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and may reach over the South Coast Regions of China during next 24 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 4thJuly 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Kayah  and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandaly, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, ChinRakhine, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States.
