26-7-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoing West Bengal Coasts –still persists. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal situation

A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Monsoon will be moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain conditions and rainy days

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin States and about normal in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.

Rainy days are expected about 8 to 10 days in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and about 6 to 8 days in the Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States.
