Bay of Bengal situation

A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Southwest monsoon will be strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain conditions and rainy days

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States, below normal in Rakhine State and about normal in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State.

Rainy days are expected about 8 to 10 days in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (N & S) Shan States and about 5 to 7 days in the Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Eastern Shan States.
