SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 6.89 inches in Labutta, 4.01 inches in Ye, 3.62 inches in Homalin, 3.40 inches in Thapaung, 3.35 inches in Loikaw, 2.95 inches in Myeik, 2.84 inches in Mawlamyinekyun, 2.76 inches in Gyobingauk, 2.48 inches in Phyarpon and 2.32 inches in Belin. 

BAY INFERENCEMonsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States.
