26-7-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoing West Bengal Coasts –still persists. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Chindwin River at Phaung Pyin has exceeded by about ½ foot above its danger level. It may fall below its danger level during the next 1 day.

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Sittaung River at Madauk has exceeded by about 1 foot above its danger level. It may rise about 3 inches during the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level.

It is noticeably advised to stay to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Phaung Pyin Township. It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Madauk, to stay away from the flood-prone areas.
