26-7-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoing West Bengal Coasts –still persists. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Flood Bulletin

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Chindwin River at Phaung Pyin has exceeded by about 1 foot above its danger level. It may fall about ½ foot during the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level.

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Sittaung River at Madauk has exceeded by more than ½ foot above its danger level. It may fall about 3 inches during the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level.

It is especially advised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Phaung Pyin Township and Madauk, to take precaution measure.
