22-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal partly and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

            According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Area over Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Southeast Bangladesh coast has further intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over Coastal West Bengal (India) and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal on 15-9-2024.

            Due to the Well Marked low pressure area and continuous strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin, Rakhine States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls and fairly widespread to widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions with heavy rainfalls and strong wind during today noon upto 15-9-2024.

People should be awared the heavy rainfall with strong wind, the natural disasters such as flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.
