SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below February average temperatures in Bago, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan State and (2°C) below February average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) each in Namsam (Southern Shan) and Heho, (4°C) each in Loilin and Mongyang, (5°C) each in Kyaukmae, Pinlaung and Hakha and (6°C) in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.08) inch in Putao and Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd February 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States.
