BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd May 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Southern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in the Deltaic Myanmar areas.
