SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, isolated in Magway Region and Northern Shan, Chin, Mon States. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were (2°C) above April average temperatures in (Northern and Southern)Shan and Chin States and (3°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant daytemperatures were (43°C) in Chauk, (42°C) each in Bawlakhae and Hpasaung and (41°C) each in Kalewa, Myingyan, Minbu, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw and Pyay.The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recordedwere (0.43) inch in Minesat, (0.32) inch in Tamu, (0.24) inch in Kunlong, (0.20) inch in Matupi, (0.16) inch each in Katha and Pauk,(0.12) inch each in Putao and Bhamo and (0.08) inch each inHomalin and Paung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th April, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Shan and Chin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan States and isolated in Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
