SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw and Kayin State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.07) inches in Paung Byin, (2.92) inches in Putao, (2.72) inches in Nanyun, (2.13) inches in Mogoke, (1.96) inches in Homalin, (1.84) inches in Lashio, (1.79) inches in Tagaung(Agro), (1.61) inches in Moemate, (1.54) inches in Gangaw, (1.42) inches each in Tamu and Kyaukpyu, (1.26) inches each in Kunlong and Pathein and (1.22) inches in Myaungmya.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast(India) has weakened. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and (Eastern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State.
