SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.17) inches in Taungkok, (3.66) inches in Manaung, (3.30) inches in Shwekyin, (3.07) inches in Madauk, (3.04) inches in Myitkyina, (2.80) inches in Okpho, (2.60) inches in Kyaukpyu, (2.54) inches in Taungtha(Agro), (2.36) inches in Thipaw, (2.24) inches in Thandaunggyi, (2.08) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.97) inches in Hpa-an (Agro-Met) and (1.89) inches in Naypyitaw( Zayarthiri).

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
