SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Kayin and  Mon States, scattered in Kachin, Eastern Shan and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May normal temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin and Kayah States and (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Gangaw, (44°C) each in Chauk and Pauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Yangon(North Dagon) (2.17)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.13)inches, Chaungsone (1.65)inches, Paing Kyone (1.50)inches, Patheingyi (1.46)inches, Yeu (1.18)inches, Thipaw (1.14)inches, Mandalay (1.10)inches, Kyeikdon (1.04)inches, Loilin (0.94)inch and Kawkareik and Kawthaung (0.87)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan and Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in Southern Myanmar areas.
