BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw , Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States.Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squall with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and (6-8) feet inoff and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine,Kayin, Mon States.
