SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State and isolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Eastern Shan States. Weather have been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The highest day temperatures were 38.4°C in Chauk, 37.7°C in Hpa-an, 37.0°C in Sagaing, 36.6°C each in Tatkon and Khayan, 36.5°C each in Myinmu and Theinzayet, 36.3°C in Kawkareik, 36.2°C in Phyu and 36.0°C each in Hlegu, Mandalay, Mudon and Belin 19-10-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.56 inches in Mudon, 0.71 inch in Yangon(Mingaladon), 0.67 inch in Kawthaung, 0.43 inch in Chaungsone, 0.39 inch each in Kanbalu and Paung, 0.35 inch in Hinthada, 0.31 inch in Myeik, 0.24 inch in Mawlamyine and 0.20 inch each in Shwekyin and Ye.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21th October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.  

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, (Northern and Southern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwday, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
