SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions, scattered in Bago Region and Rakhine, Eastern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Magway Region. The highest day temperatures were 38.8°C in Chauk, 37.5°C in Sagaing, 37.0°C each in Naung Oo and Myinmu, 36.8°C in Kyaukse, 36.6°C in Tada U (Aviation), 36.5°C in Pakokku, 36.4°C in Zaung Tu and 36.0°C each in Mandalay, Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Minbu, Magway and Shwebo on 10-10-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.44 inches in Laiway, 1.53 inches each in Pyinmana(Walgyi) and Chauk, 1.38 inches in Gyobingauk, 1.22 inches each  in Naung Shwe and Ywangan, 1.10 inches  in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 1.06 inches in Magway, 0.79 inch in Kyangin(Seiktha), 0.73 inch in Kyaukphyu, 0.72 inch in Thabaung and 0.71 inch in Aunglan.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah, Chin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Yangon, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Eastern Shan State,  fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and  Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, (Northern and Southern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.  

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in  Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
