BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, Northwest Bay, Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 8th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Rakhine States, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
