BAY INFERENCE:    According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN) has crossed near the Kolkta,India and moved to North-Northeastwards. It is weaken into a Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN) and lies at about (160) miles Northeast of Kolkta (India), about (10) miles Southeast of Bogura and about (85) miles Northwest of Dhaka (Bangladesh).Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21st May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin Chin and Rakhin States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time off and along Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
