SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Mandalay Region, Southern Shan and Chin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Rakhine State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperature in Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and  Kayin States, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and (7°C) to (8°C) above January average temperatures in (Northern and Southern)Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) each in Mindat and Hakha, (6°C) in Tiddim,  (7°C) in Falam and (8°C) each in Matupi, Tongzan and Ramthlo. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mogoke (1.26)inches, Kunlong (1.22)inches, Moemate (0.91)inch, Muse (0.79)inch, Myitsone (0.59) inch, Mindat (0.47)inch and Kyaukmae (0.39)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th January, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 – 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
