SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, scattered in Sagaing and Magway Regions and Shan (South and East) State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (9.53) inches in Hlaingbwe, (7.95) inches in Ye, (6.89) inches in Mudon, (6.77) inches in Kyeikkhame, (5.55) inches in Hpa-an, (4.69) inches in Kawkareik, (4.25) inches in Paung, (3.86) inches in Mawlamyine, (3.74) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (3.19) inches in Thabeikkyin, (2.95) inches in Singu (Agro), (2.84) inches in Kyeikdon, (2.56) inches in Chaungsone, (2.48) inches in Coco Island and (2.46) inches each in Layhtetpyin (Agro) and Kya-In-Seikkyi.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2ndJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along  Mon- Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (4 - 7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon.
