BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the South Andaman Sea still persists. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and become into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Nicobar Islands during next 24 hours and further intensify into a Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 31-10-2026.Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 80%.     

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Squalls with rough seas  are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin,  Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
