22-10-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu Coast(India), North Sri Lanka and Gulf of Mannar has reached over the Comorin Area (Southernmost tip of mainland India- Cape Comorin) and adjoining India(Southern coast of Tamil Nadu) and Keralam.Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude 3.5(M) with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (12) miles southeast of Thabeikkyin), latitude 22.79°N, longitude 96.14°E, depth (14) kilometers, about (52) miles north of Mandalay seismological observatory was recorded at (05)hr (28)min (04)sec M.S.T on 23rd October, 2026.
