SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and Kayah, Kayin, Rakhine States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi  Region, fairy widespread in Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions, scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The highest day temperatures were 37.7°C in Chauk, 36.5°C in Zaungtu, 36.3°C in Aunglan, 36.2°C in Dawei and 36.0°C each in Hlegu, Thazi(Hlaingtat), Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Tharrawady, Zalun, Mogaung, Mudon and Belin on 6-10-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.46 inches in Kawthaung, 1.21 inches in Homein, 1.01 inches in Lashio, 0.94 inch in Taunggyi, 0.91 inch in Pyay, 0.80 inch in Thabaung, 0.76 inch in Kangyidaunt, 0.75 inch each in Gangaw and Kyaunggon, 0.63 inch in Mogok and 0.55 inch in Pakokku. 

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th October 2026: Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States. Rain or thundershowers will be fairy widespread in Taninthayi  Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State and  isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
