SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairy widespread in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Mon, Southern Shan States, isolated in Nayypitaw, Sagaing Region and Kayah, Kayin, Eastern Shan States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.79 inch in Thabeikkyin, 0.74 inch in Kawthaung, 0.35 inch in Machanbaw, 0.31 inch in Namsan(Southern Shan State), 0.28 inch in Natogyi, 0.24 inch in Paung, 0.20 inch in Monghsat, 0.16 inch in Paung Byin and 0.12 inch each in Meiktila, Kya-In-Seikkyi and Kyeikkhame.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, Westcentral Bay and Northwest Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin and (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and Mon, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) States.
