SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and  Northern Shan State,  isolated in Mandalay Region and Kayin, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.22 inches in Myitkyina, 1.06 inches in Mogaung, 0.83 inch in Putao, 0.71 inch in Machanbaw, 0.39 inch in Hlaingbwe, 0.20 inch each in Pyinoolwin and Shwegu, 0.12 inch in Katha and 0.08 inch in Mohnyin.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, Westcentral Bay and Northwest Bay of Bengal.  Weather is partly cloudy  over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region,  scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Northern and Southern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
