BAY INFERENCE: Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and Deltaic Myanmar areas. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and South Bay, Westcentral Bay and Northwest Bay of Bengal.  Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd October 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in Southern Myanmar area.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rd October 2026:                             Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 60%.

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rd October 2026:                                  Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 60%.

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rd October 2026:              Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 60%.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and scattered in Yangon Region.
