El Niño Conditions News

  1. Based on evaluations from the World Meteorological Organization and international climate centers, sea surface temperatures and atmospheric dynamics across the equatorial Tropical Pacific Ocean indicate very strong El Niño condition and very strong El Niño conditions may reach at the end of 2026.
  2. The sea surface temperature and atmospheric processes in the tropical Pacific Ocean near the equator continue to be in a very strong El Niño condition. Based on the forecasts of the World Meteorological Organization and the International Meteorological Center, it is estimated that El Niño will reach its peak by the end of 2026.

     

  3. Although El Niño is a phenomenon that occurs in the Pacific Ocean, its impacts can generally lead to irregular rainfall patterns, higher day temperatures, abnormal storm activity, drought and other extreme weather events in the upcoming summer season.
