SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern and Eastern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Rakhine States, scattered in Naypyitaw and Chin, Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 13.62 inches in Dawei, 6.10 inches in Mawlamyinegyun, 3.54 inches in Hinthada, 3.24 inches in Ye, 2.95 inches in Kyaunggon, 2.83 inches in Einme, 2.80 inches in Kangyidaunt, 2.26 inches in Ingapu, 2.13 inches in Pantanaw and 2.09 inches in Kyonpyaw.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Andaman Sea and adjoining Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coastal has moved North-Northwestwards and further intensified into a Depression. It is centered at about 50 Nautical miles South of Mawlamyine, 95 Nautical miles Southeast of Thongwa and 120 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Bago, Myanmar. Monsoon is strong to Vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in  Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

 STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough sea will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
