BAY INFERENCE:          According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Andaman Sea and adjoining Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, Myanmar now lies over North Andaman Sea and adjoining Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, Myanmar.It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Depression and has crossed over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining the Deltaic, Ayeyarwady during next 24 hrs. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Southeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Regions and Kayah, Southern Shan States and fairly widespread in Magway  Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in  Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough sea will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States.
