SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Rakhine, Southern Shan States, scattered in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon States and  widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.54 inches in Laiway, 2.64 inches in Naypyitaw (Ottarathiri), 2.17 inches in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), 2.01 inches in Myitnge, 1.89 inches in Kyaukse, 1.81 inches in Tatkon, 1.77 inches in Madauk, 1.72 inches in Ingabu, 1.57 inches each in Okkan and Myeik and 1.48 inches in Kangyidaunt.

BAY INFERENCE: Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the Central Myanmar areas. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago,Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and fairly widespread in Mandalay Region.
