SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Rakhine and Eastern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Yangon, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago, Region and Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.11 inches each in Yangon(Mingaladon) and Mawlamyine, 2.60 inches in Yangon(Kaba Aye), 2.36 inches in Madauk, 2.24 inches in Thanlyin, 2.13 inches each in Shwekyin and Mohnyin, 1.97 inches in Taungoo(Avia-Met), 1.57 inches in Putao, 1.46 inches in Sagaing, 1.34 inches in Nyaunglaybin and 1.30 inches in Ye.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Northwest and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
