SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayin State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kachin, Mon, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.03 inches in Paung Byin, 2.84 inches in Mingin, 2.32 inches in Mahlaing, 1.89 inches in Hakha, 1.50 inches in Mawlaik, 1.30 inches each in Monywa and Natogyi, 1.28 inches in Wundwin and 1.26 inches each in Kyaunggon and Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
