Flood Warning

(Issued at 08:00 hrs M.S.T on 12-9-2026)

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Sittoung River at Taungoo is observed as about 9 inches below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 36 hours.

According to the 06:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Toe River at Maubin is observed as about 3 inches below its danger level. It may exceed about 6 inches above its danger level at the high tide period during the next 1 day.

It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Taungoo and Maubin Townships, to take precaution measure and to stay away from the flood-prone areas in time if the water level will rise.
