El Niño Conditions News

Sea surface temperatures and atmospheric dynamics across the equatorial Tropical Pacific Ocean indicate strong to very strong El Niño condition. Based on the evaluations from World Meteorological Organization and international climate centers, very strong El Niño conditions is likely to reach at the end of 2026.
Although El Niño is a phenomenon that occurs in the Pacific Ocean, its impacts can generally lead to irregular rainfall patterns, higher day temperatures, abnormal storm activity, drought and other extreme weather events in the upcoming summer season.
Therefore, all relevant sectors are kindly requested to take necessary precautionary measures in advance.
