BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha coasts, India still persists. It is likely to move West- Northwestwards across the interior part of North Odisha - Gangetic West Bengal, India during next 24 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather cloudy  over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy  over the South Andaman Sea and over elsewhere Bay of Bengal.

 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 1st September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State,  fairly widespread in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan states and  widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago,  Sagaing, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and  Kayin, Chin,Mon , Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in   Magway, Sagaing  Regions and Kachin, Chin,  Rakhine  States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Southern Shan States.
