7-9-2026:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, Northwest Bay, Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Flood Warning

According to the 13:30 hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Thaungyin River at Myawaddy is observed as about 1 foot 4 inches below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next 1 day.

It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Myawaddy Township, to take precaution measure and to stay away from the flood-prone areas in time if the water level will rise.
