26-7-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoing West Bengal Coasts –still persists. It is likely to become more marked during next 2 days. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Weather Forecast for 2024 Mid Monsoon Season

Mid Monsoon Period

The mid monsoon period is establishment of first July to the end of August.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Four low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and two may further intensify into Depressions. Monsoon will be strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions

Rain will be expected above normal in NPT, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwaddy Regions and Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States and about normal in Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Shan States.
