SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region, Shan and Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperature were (7°C) each in Pinlaung, Loilin and Hakha. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myitkyina (0.51)inch, Putao (0.23)inch and Homalin (0.16)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Sourth Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd February, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region, (Eastern and Southern) Shan and Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
